Amarnath Yatris attacked by Terrorists


Hindu pilgrimage going to Amarnath for darshan were stormed upon by the terrorists in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. The bus hailing from Gujarat was not a part of the main convoy and hence it proved to be an easy prey for the anti-human, anti-secular terrorists. The details are not clear but as many as 6 people have died and more than 15 injured. The attack was executed at around half past eight. Police was targeted by the terrorists. The attack comes amidst the tensions in the valley where the security of Hindus have always been a matter of mistrust and faithlessness.

Omar Abdullah tweeted “Every right thinking Kashmiri must today condemn the killing of the Amarnath yatris and say unequivocally – this is #NotInMyName”. Aam Admi Party’s handle said “AAP strongly condemns the terror attack on Amarnath Yatra Pilgrims and polica party #AmarnathYatra”. Paresh Rawal out of frustration and sadness wrote “6 Amarnath Yatris killed in Terrorist Attack… bhai @narendramodi.. what will it take to teach a good leasson to these Kashmiri traitors?”.

Amarnath cave is a Hindu pilgrimage site located at an isolated spot at around 141 km from Srinagar at a height of 3888 m above sea level. Many Hindu yatris pay a visit to this scared place of Shiva.

The official statements from the state and central government are awaited so as to what will be the next step and how will this menace of radicals in the Kashmir valley which is a major security issue since the past one year is going to be tackled.
