Filmfare Awards 2017 turned out to be an iconic event,which was held on January 14,2017 at the NSCL Dome in Norli,Mumbai. Aamir Khan was awarded as the best actor for his impressive performance in Dangal and Alia Bhatt was honoured as the best actress for her mind boggling act in Udta Punjab as a Bihari migrant. Dangal bagged all the major awards starting from best film of the year,Best director to Nitesh Tiwari and Sham Kaushal for best action.

The star studded event was glittering. The fashion Insta Sonam Kapoor won Critics award for best actress for Neerja,where Shahid Kapoor and Manoj Bajpayee won the best actors in male category for Udta Punjab and Aligarh respectively.

 

Arijit Singh,the king of playback singing,won the best playback singer of 2016 for Ae Dil Hai mushkil while Neha Bhasin won the best playback singer in female category for Jag Ghumeya of Sultan.

The life time achievement award was honoured to Shatrughan Sinha for his magnificent contribution to Indian cinema.
