On March 20, a drunk Kapil Sharma started hurling abuses at a team member when Sunil Grover stepped up to calm Sharma down. Things became ugly as Sharma then got involved in a war of words with Grover. An inebriated Sharma was said to have hurled abuses and physically assaulted his co-star on the flight. A mid-day report even suggests that Sharma hit Grover in a fit of rage.
The most popular comedians of our times Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover have been engaged in an ugly spat since the last few days. Kapil’s image has been totally transformed from being a lovable and highly appreciated funny man to someone who is “bossy” and “too good” for his own shoes.
As the news broke out, Kapil was the first to issue a statement. On his Facebook page, Sharma wrote that the fight with Grover was a personal matter and that media should not intervene.
Sunil Grover had maintained a dignified silence all this while. Kapil had also posted an apology tweet on his Twitter account writing, “Paji @WhoSunilGrover sry if I hurt u unintentionally. u knw vry well how much I luv u. M also upset .love n regards always :)”
Finally, Sunil aka ‘Gutthi’ or ‘Dr. Mashoor Gulaati’ (as his character is popularly known in The Kapil Sharma Show) has broken his silence on the matter and has replied to Kapil in an open letter which he posted on his official Twitter account.
“Bha ji!! Yes, you hurt me deeply. Working with you has been a learning experience. Just one advice, start respecting human beings also apart from animals. All are not as successful as you are. All are not as talented as you are. But if they all are talented like you, who will value you. So have some gratitude towards their existence. And also, if somebody is correcting you, don’t abuse that person. Refrain from using foul language in front of women who have nothing to do with the stardom you carry, they are by chance just traveling with you. Thanks for making me realize it was your show and you have power to throw out anybody, anytime. You are the wittiest, and the best in your field. But don’t act like a ‘God’. Take good care of yourself. Wish you lot more success and fame.”
Reportedly, Kapil’s bad attitude towards his fellow co-stars has left him in quite a mess. The latest buzz is that “The Kapil Sharma Show” will go off air as the producers aren’t happy with all this. And also fans reactions to Kapil Sharma are not good.
