This Tuesday, Pakistan again violated the ceasefire by shelling mortars and small arms at Rajouri and Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir along the LOC. A population of 4,500-5,000 was affected because of this sudden shelling by Pakistani troops. An army Jawan and a nine-year old girl were killed while four others were injured by the heavy shelling along Line of Control.
Indian Army is retaliating in an unabridged way to this bombardment. 2 Pakistani soldiers were killed and six others were injured in the process. Search Operation is underway to check the signs of any infiltration, whatsoever.
In a separate development, militants fired heavy arms near the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir later on Tuesday.
Defying numerous warnings by the Indian Government, Pakistan has violated ceasefire for around 23 times in June itself.
On June 29, Pakistani troops infiltrated the LOC and killed two Indian Army Jawans.
On June 26, heavy shelling of mortars was fired along the LOC by Pakistani troops in the Bhimbher Gali sector of Rajouri.
The notorious act of Pakistan Army is increasing day by day threatening the residents near the LOC. People living in villages near the Line of Control (LOC) are advised to stay indoors for a while.
