SIAM asks government to ban 15 years old car’s

Society of Indian Automobile manufacturer (SIAM) has asked the government to consider a ban on vehicles older than 15 years to curb pollution.
At SIAM’s 57th annual convention Vinod K Desai president of SIAM mentioned that the automobile companies are doing their best to reduce pollution and are working toward moving BS VI emission Norm’s.
Transport minister, Mr. Nitin Gadkari stated that the government will be bringing in the second generation of Ethanol as an alternative fuel. He said that diesel was adding to the high import costs and pollution levels.
